As a self-taught artist, creating has always been my passion. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve spent countless hours getting lost in creativity, playing with paint, and experimenting with mixed media. Art became more than just a hobby for me—it was a way to express myself and get through my own mental health challenges. It gave me a sense of freedom, comfort, and a way to process what I was going through.

At 18, I decided to deepen my understanding in psychology, knowing first hand how powerful art can be in navigating life’s ups and downs. That journey led me to study Art Therapy and Psychotherapy at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. Now, I practice as Registered Psychotherapist and Art Therapist, helping others find healing and self-expression through creativity—just as art has always done for me.

I started Artist with a Poncho in 2018 as a way to blend my love for art, creativity, and connecting with people. What started as a small creative project has grown into something so much bigger—offering fun and accessible art experiences for everyone. From paint parties to candle painting, wine glass painting, and even baby onesie decorating, I love giving people the chance to explore their creativity in a relaxed, welcoming environment. No art experience? No problem! My events are all about having fun, trying something new, and walking away with something you’re proud of.
